Golden Alexanders (Zizia aurea)

Thrives in moist to mesic areas, prairies, and woodlands from spring to early summer. It features bright yellow flowers, grows 1-3 feet tall, and acts as a crucial host plant for the black swallowtail butterfly. Easily self-seeds. Excellent choice for hellstrip gardens due to their tough, adaptable, and salt-tolerant nature.
